This squad is designed for those who love fencing, prioritise it as a sport and who aspire to improve their competition performance.

The aim is to build a strong competitive group that supports each other and acts as a stepping stone to national and international competition.

There is an U14 Development Squad and an U17/Cadets Squad.

Part of this initiative is to build a squad that will compete at the British Youth Championships and the various ranking competitions around the UK.  

Sabre from Edinburgh and East of Scotland has been significantly underrepresented at this competition up until 2025 but we are seeing numbers improve.
