£2,000 grant awarded by Sporting Start - Feb 2024

We are delighted to announce an award of £2,000 from Sporting Start - https://www.sportingstart.org/

This is most welcome support and will help us in a number of ways.

1) Upgrading kit to allow us to make the club more inclusive and enabling beginners to engage in the sport more readily.

2) Supporting those fencers with ambition, but lack of means, to experience the thrill of competing atUK national level

3) Developing our community outreach work by funding some free spaces for children/families who would otherwise not be able to afford to join the club 

4) Create a summer programme in collaboration with Active Schools allowing us to contribute free summer activities in the north of Edinburgh encouraging healthy, active and involved lives.
